Who is LACO?
LACO is a non-profit organization,
founded in 1985 from the efforts of several area churches. It is
sponsored by churches of various denominations located in the Lisbon,
Durham and Bowdoin communities.
LACO is administered by an
all-volunteer Board of Directors that provides leadership and decision
making for the organization. Members of the Board include clergy,
parishioners and community members.
Currently churches actively
involved in the outreach of LACO include the West Bowdoin Baptist
Church, Shiloh Chapel, First Congregational Church of Durham, Durham
Monthly Meeting of Friends, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St.
Matthew’s Episcopal Church, and Lisbon United Methodist Church.

Needed Food Items
Your assistance is always needed to help keep the shelves full. We are serving more clients all the time. In May of 2010, we served 205 families, 402 adults, and 178 children. Our supplies are more limited now also, because all of the food banks are requiring more and more items. Below is a list of food items that are currently in short supply. If you can donate any of these please drop them by the food pantry or leave them at one of the seven member churches.
